'Once Upon A Time' Bosses On What War Means For The Future Of Storybrooke

Once Upon a Time returned with the second half of Season 6 tonight and, given everything that happened in the first half of the season, it’s understandable that fans are still burning with questions. Between getting a deeper understanding of Emma Swan’s origins and her battle with the mysterious hooded figure, which ultimately led to the defeat of Gideon (Giles Matthey), it may have seemed as though Jennifer Morrison’s Once Upon a Time character ended Season 6A on top of her game, but, as Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) suggested, the conflicts in the first half of Once Upon a Time‘s sixth season may only have been a prelude to a large-scale war. Once Upon A Time Bosses, Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, Talk War And The End Of Storybrooke ‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6B brings Gideon back as a rival for Emma Swan. [Image by ABC] While Kitsis tells E! News that things are going to get really bad for the people of Storybrooke, his Once Upon a Time co-creator, Adam Horowitz, goes into greater detail, revealing that Gideon will be back and with a vengeance. He continues to share that Gideon may not be the only foe Emma Swan (Morrison) and her friends will be facing, as Season 6B moves forward, even as each character must also resolve their own internal conflicts. As Gideon becomes more of a central figure in the second half of Once Upon a Time‘s 6B season, Edward shares that viewers will see a greater exploration of his past, his relationship to the Black Fairy, and his motivations to become the new Savior. “What I can tell you is that he hinted at wanting to free the realm of the Black Fairy,” Kitsis says of Gideon. “His motivations are going to become clearer in his origin story and the Black Fairy’s origin story, which is two flashbacks we’ll be doing this year. Gideon’s is episode 16 and the Black Fairy’s will be 19.” Many fans have expressed concern over the future of Once Upon a Time beyond the current season, as rumors of cancellation or a reboot flourish on the internet. Mr. Horowitz suggests there may be some truth to the idea of rebooting Once Upon a Time, though he suggests it all depends on ABC’s plans for the future of the series. The Once Upon a Time showrunner adds that, before opening a new chapter in the series, there’s still much to be resolved with current story arcs. “Within the bounds of this season, there are many, many stories that we’ve been telling for a long time that may reach some kind of climax,” says the Once Upon a Time boss. “But at the same respect, these are characters who have, to us, really rich history and vital lives yet to be explored that while we may shake things up in a big way—we’re hoping to—there’s a lot more we want to do if we’re lucky enough to get the chance to do it.” Meanwhile, There’s Regina And Robin… ‘Once Upon a Time’ reunites Regina Mills with Robin Hood, but can they make it work? [Image by ABC] Adam Horowitz told Screener that Robin (Sean Maguire) will be back for a story arc that will span several episodes of Once Upon a Time, as Regina (Lana Parrilla) welcomes him back to her world in Storybrooke, though finding their happily ever after will be harder to achieve than expected. Robin will be struggling just to adjust to the rules in this new world and that’s going to create some conflict for the couple, both internally and externally. Edward Kitsis adds that Robin is going to feel inferior to the task, especially being held up to impossible standards. “Robin came here for a fresh start but is constantly being reminded of a dead guy who appears to be better than he is.” Certainl,y he has Regina to rely upon, but as the Once Upon a Time boss suggests, the former Evil Queen is going to have her own internal struggles with which she must contend. Her ability to make peace with herself and what she has lost may affect how she moves forward with Robin. “Regina has been trying to hard to move forward ever since she cut the darkness out of her, and yet she’s always tested.” Once Upon a Time airs Sundays on ABC. Kate Hudson Custody Battle Not Over: Ex-Hubby Chris Robinson Reopens Case

The Kate Hudson custody battle with Chris Robinson has resumed as the actress’s ex-husband decided to reopen the case on who should be taking over the welfare of their 12-year-old son, Ryder. Amid rumors about her current relationship with Angelina Jolie divorcee Brad Pitt, Kate Hudson is facing yet another battle — this time, it was about her only son, Ryder. Late in February, reports about Kate Hudson’s custody battle with the Black Crowes singer, who apparently filed the necessary documents in court in order to reopen the agreement they had over the joint custody agreement they had when they were divorced in 2007, when Ryder was only 2-years-old at the time. #ChrisRobinson #KateHudson #ChrisRobinson Kate Hudson & Chris Robinson’s Custody Battle https://t.co/Grd10VYm9e pic.twitter.com/MsPVgG9fpl — Sonya LittleLight (@LittleLight2016) March 3, 2017 E! News confirmed that Robinson filed the reopening of the custody battle in California’s Superior Court, where he was named the petitioner and Hudson the respondent. Back in 2007, Robinson and Hudson previously agreed that an evaluator would perform an evaluation on the custody, and file a report containing a recommended parenting plan which covers legal custody as well as physical custody of the child. This means after the evaluation, Ryder should be residing with the parent who will be able to provide the best for him, while visiting with the other parent regularly. The documents that Robinson filed in court also explained that both he and Kate Hudson will legally allow the evaluator to access their health records, including, but not limited to, their mental health. Their education and employment will also be evaluated for the Kate Hudson custody battle with Chris Robinson, and they may be ordered to undergo psychological and drug testing should the evaluator deem it necessary for the case. On top of that, the court ordered Hudson to pay for the initial evaluation fee amounting to $7,500. But what does the reopening of the case mean for Kate Hudson? According to Tripped Media, Robinson’s move to reopen the custody battle could mean a change in their current custody setup, which includes Ryder residing with his mother for the past 10 years. Meanwhile, a report from the Daily Mail revealed that the actress “looks pensive” a few hours after the custody battle, as she “tuned out the world with headphones while taking the stroll with her pooch.” In the article, the outlet recalled how the former couple previously declared that they are amicable after the separation, and have been talking every day in order to promote the best co-parenting situation for their son. Unfortunately, the reopening of the case seems to prove that Hudson and Robinson are not so amicable after all. On being a mom, Hudson previously spoke about co-parenting her children, Ryder and Bingham, her 5-year-old son with Matthew Bellamy in the December/January issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine. “It’s hard to let go of something, even when you know that it’s not right. I’ve chosen something in my life that I’m very comfortable with that goes against a lot of people’s more traditional feelings.” She continued to explain why she decided to end her relationships despite of bearing children from it, and said that it is better “to raise children in happy homes” than maintaining a relationship, even when you feel it is wrong for the sake of a traditional family. Kate has been rumored to be sharing a romantic relationship with Brad Pitt, although such speculations remain unconfirmed. On the other hand, recent reports have emerged stating that the actress is back with DJ Diplo after the two were spotted together during the Oscars 2017 after-party. #KateHudson and #Diplo spark romance rumours yet again https://t.co/Zbw80Nkjom pic.twitter.com/T6hfalnA76 — جوليا عبدالله (@Julia_Abdulla) March 1, 2017 Based on a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Diplo and Kate had been hanging out at the party as the DJ led her “through the party by the hand.” Stay with the Inquisitr for more about the Kate Hudson custody battle and share your thoughts in the comments section below. Will Josh Duggar Be Sidelined During Sister Joy-Anna's Wedding?

Jinger’s wedding and Joy-Anna’s courtship and later engagement, have all been non-events for brother Josh Duggar. Will the eldest Duggar sibling continue to be deprived of his family and TLC’s public affiliation when Joy-Anna ties the knot? Images of Josh Duggar allegedly avoiding the cameras at Jinger Duggar’s wedding last November indicated the family was not ready to have him with them on TV. Given that the wedding fueled an episode of Counting On’s Season 3, Josh Duggar was carefully edited out, the Daily Mail reported. The Duggar family has drawn flak from both viewers and advertisers when rumors of Josh Duggar’s return to the small screen did the rounds. Josh Duggar shot to infamy after news that he molested five minors, including four of his sisters, made headlines in 2015. While sisters Jill and Jessa were two of his identified victims who spoke about the alleged molestation, the names of other two girls were not revealed. However, police reports which mention an incident in March 2003 involving Josh and his then five-year-old sister, suggest Joy-Anna could have been one of his other victims. With the Ashley Madison expose hot on heels and claims by porn stars, besides a legal suit alleging defamation, the older Duggar never got out of the spotlight. The family’s 19 Kids and Counting went off air indefinitely even as Josh Duggar’s public sightings became restricted. A comeback to Counting On was reportedly planned last year but advertiser pressure put paid to those plans. More recently, images and clips of Jinger Duggar’s wedding served a reminder about Josh’s past when he reportedly hid himself behind his toddler son Marcus at the wedding when Counting On camera crew panned over to where he was sitting, the Daily Mail reported. A lens flare too may have been introduced to hide Josh in a few photos, some believe. It was also suggested that the film crew were told to avoid capturing Josh at the wedding. Josh Duggar was kept OUT of Jinger’s TV wedding special – by using toddler son Marcus as a shield https://t.co/YKUcwQlFLF pic.twitter.com/DB5O9ehKb6 — Daily Mail US (@DailyMail) December 2, 2016 Rumors of Anna Duggar pushing for a divorce from husband Josh have been around for long and resurfaced recently. It was reported the couple nearly split after Jinger Duggar’s wedding but the Duggar family released a photo of Josh’s family on March 3 greeting him on his birthday, indicating all is well. However, the image, allegedly taken six months ago, raised questions about not uploading more recent images. [Duggar Family Official/Facebook] One of the many theories doing the rounds is Anna Duggar may be pregnant and the Duggar family does not want that to be made public. Anna has drawn flak for standing by her husband. A pregnancy at this time could only invite more. Pregnancies and births, along with weddings, are among the events that fuel Counting On seasons. While Joy-Anna’s wedding date has not been made public, hints have been dropped suggesting it could happen before summer, when a new season of Counting On is expected to be aired. As his sister Jill and other family members publicly shared congratulatory messages for Joy-Anna and sister Jessa Seawald who gave birth to her second child, Josh’s distance from all of it has been conspicuous. Do you think the radio silence over Josh Duggar will end before his younger sister Joy-Anna ties the knot? [Featured Image by Josh Duggar/Twitter]

PAC-12 Conference Tournament: Game Times, Dates And Three Bold Predictions

The Pacific-12 Conference — better known as the PAC-12 — will host the 2017 conference tournament this week with the Oregon Ducks enjoying the top seed. The PAC-12 tournament is one of the youngest in the country as the conference previously named their regular season champion as their league’s automatic bid. After a brief run in the late 1980’s, the PAC-12 returned to granting its automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament to the winner of the regular season champion. By 2002, the league again reversed its thinking and held a conference tournament to crown their conference champion. The following is the PAC-12 Tournament schedule with seeding, dates and times for each game at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. All games for the PAC-12 Tournament are listed using Pacific Time. Wednesday, March 8 — First Round
Game 1: No. 9 Stanford vs No. 8 Arizona State — Noon (PAC-12 Network)
Game 2: No. 12 Oregon State vs No. 5 California — 2:30 p.m. (PAC-12 Network)
Game 3: No. 10 Washington State vs No. 7 Colorado — 6 p.m. (PAC-12 Network)
Game 4: No. 11 Washington vs No. 6 USC — 8:30 p.m. (PAC-12 Network) Thursday, March 9 — Quarterfinals
Game 5: Game 1 Winner vs No. 1 Oregon — Noon (PAC-12 Network)
Game 6: Game 2 Winner vs No. 4 Utah — 2:30 p.m. (PAC-12 Network)
Game 7: Game 3 Winner vs No. 2 Arizona — 6 p.m. (PAC-12 Network)
Game 8: Game 4 Winner vs No. 3 UCLA — 8:30 p.m. (ESPN) Friday, March 10 — Semifinals
Game 9: Game 5 Winner vs Game 6 Winner — 6 p.m. (PAC-12 Network)
Game 10: Game 7 Winner vs Game 8 Winner — 8:30 p.m. (ESPN) Saturday, March 11 — Championship
Game 14: Semifinal winners — 8 p.m. (ESPN) Viewers outside the PAC-12 Conference footprint can view the tournament online. In addition to the Watch ESPN app, viewers can follow the action by going to Pac-12.com to view the conference tournament as it happens. Both the Arizona Wildcats and UCLA Bruins stand a chance to earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament with their performance in this week’s PAC-12 tourney. [Image by Christian Petersen/Getty Images] Three Bold Predictions 1. PAC-12 winner will earn a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Currently, three PAC-12 teams are among the Top 10 in the country — No. 3 UCLA, No. 6 Oregon and No. 7 Arizona. Only the PAC-12, Big 12 and ACC tournament champions have a chance to go through another Top 10 team en route to the conference championship. In either Arizona or UCLA’s case, that could be two Top 10 teams depending on how the tournament unravels. Look for the committee to reward whichever of the three PAC-12 teams currently in the Top 10 with a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament next Sunday. 2. Don’t expect too many upsets. The Arizona Wildcats have won the most PAC-12 tournament titles, earning five out of the first 20 tournaments the league has held. Both the Oregon Ducks and the UCLA Bruins are tied for second with four tournament titles apiece. That means that nearly two out of every three tournaments have been won by this year’s top three seeds. Further, the past four championship games in the PAC-12 tournament have featured two of the aforementioned three schools. Only the ACC tournament — with either Duke and North Carolina having played in the tournament championship game for two consecutive decades — has been more reliable that the PAC-12 tournament championship game. Bettors picking all chalk have fared well thanks to the Arizona Wildcats, Oregon Ducks and UCLA Bruins. The California Golden Bears could make a push for inclusion in the NCAA tournament with their play against PAC-12 foes this week. [Image by Josh Lefkowitz/Getty Images] 3. California will make a push for the NCAA tournament. The University of California Golden Bears are currently not among the 68 teams ESPN predicts will make the 2017 NCAA Tournament. But don’t count California out just yet despite the Golden Bears losing five out of their final six games. While the school’s loss against a 14-16 Stanford team is among its worst, but a 74-44 defeat this week against the No. 4 seeded Utah Utes is also in the running. A win against the conference’s worst team — the Oregon State Beavers — will give the Golden Bears a chance to rectify its latest loss to Utah Thursday in the PAC-12 Tournament. Winning both games would put the California Golden Bears at 21-13 for the season, putting them squarely in the running for a NCAA tournament bid. Do you think the PAC-12 Tournament champion will be either the Arizona Wildcats, Oregon Ducks or UCLA Bruins? Follow the Inquisitr on Twitter (@InquisitrSports) to join in on the conversation. 'This Is Us' Spoilers: Aftermath of William's Death Coming, Will He Be On Show?

Things are getting crazy on This Is Us lately, and the fans are sad about William’s death. On the upcoming episode of This Is Us, everyone is going to get to start seeing the aftermath of his death and how it affects everyone. Beth and Kevin aren’t aware that William died yet on This Is Us and this week they will hear the heartbreaking news. TV Guide shared the details about how things will happen next week on This Is Us. Watson shared with TV Guide about it all. He said, “What we can expect is to see how William affected Beth. They started off as strangers, and they slowly became family, then they became friends. That part of her life is gone. The adjustment that she has to make and her grief is something we can expect to see.” RT @extratv : Dry your tears! @justinhartley says we’ll see more William on #ThisIsUs: https://t.co/QAv5BHorCZ pic.twitter.com/5w3d2EqovB — estrellaJustinH (@estrellaJH2) March 4, 2017 Everyone has seen Kevin on This Is Us grow a lot closer to William while he has been living with his brother Randall. Justin Hartley, who plays Kevin on This Is Us, shared his thoughts about it. “These kids lost their father and this guy was a father figure to Kevin, a little bit, without even meaning to be. Randall, in a sense, lost his father, then lost Jack, his other father, then found his biological father and lost him. He’s kind of lost three dads.” This is going to be hard on everyone to watch on this week of This Is Us. William may have not been in their lives for long, but they were close to him in that short time and really cared about him. Kevin doesn’t have a dad at all anymore, and Randall has lost two now. New post (‘This Is Us’ Star Justin Hartley’s No Spoilers Policy: ‘You Think You Wanna …) has been published on – https://t.co/2Q3bnLSrI9 pic.twitter.com/1wz5QWCOdN — Bonjournal News (@bonjournal_ca) March 2, 2017 Us Magazine also shared a spoiler about This Is Us and William. He has passed away, which you would think means he is done on the show, but it sounds like this is not the case at all. The thing is creator Dan Fogelman shared that William isn’t totally gone from This Is Us just yet. Here is what he had to say about it. “You will see him in the next episode. You will not see him in the finale, but only because it’s a very Jack and Rebecca–centric episode. He’s going to remain a big part of the show.” One big thing about This Is Us is that they are known for flashbacks. That makes it perfect for William to return to This Is Us. They aren’t revealing how much he will show up just yet, but it does sound like he will be around. The viewers are excited to hear this news and can’t wait to watch it all happen. Fogelman went on to share a bit more. “It’s a little different than the Jack situation in that anytime you’re exploring the Pearson family in the past, Jack was in that story. William’s character only entered Randall’s family’s story in the last year, so there’s less of a backstory there. It means that if you’re going into his past more, you’re probably preceding his entrance into Randall and Beth and the kids’ lives — which we will do as well, but he’s going to remain a substantial part of the series.” Are you shocked to see how affected Kevin and Beth will be by the loss of William on This Is Us? Are you excited for the last few episodes of this season? Sound off in the comments section below on your thoughts, and don’t miss new episodes of This Is Us when they air on Tuesday nights on NBC. Feud: Bette & Joan – Bette Davis/Joan Crawford Series Glows With Rancor [Review]

“Feuds are never about hate. Feuds are about pain. They’re about pain.” This is the central premise of Feud: Bette and Joan, the first season of Ryan Murphy’s newest anthology series, Feud. The series follows the titular feud between Bette Davis (played by Susan Sarandon) and Joan Crawford (played by Jessica Lange) as both aging stars take on the only picture they ever did together: Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? Essentially, the pilot episode is about establishing both actresses’ pain, where they’re coming from as they enter into this project. They’re aging out of ‘acceptable’ for leading ladies in Hollywood in 1961, and both of them are facing financial difficulties. Joan particularly is in dire career straits, and can’t find any roles that suit her. She finds a novel instead, called Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? and has a friend of hers, Bob Aldrich (played by Alfred Molina) draft a screenplay. And she gets up the guts to cross the country and pitch it to Bette. Jessica Lange attending the premier of Feud: Bette and Joan [Image by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images] From the jump, the show makes it clear the women have never gotten along, and never makes it quite clear why — primarily because that doesn’t matter. What started the feud doesn’t matter, only that it continues, and only because the pain is still there. Lange and Sarandon bring a gravitas to the roles they play, and while they don’t necessarily look just like their respective real-life counterparts, there’s a larger-than life dignity to what they do. Sarandon’s Bette comes swanning in with little preparation, and clearly doesn’t seem to realize the resentment that Lange’s Joan feels to behavior like that. In one of Sarandon’s best moments in the first episode, Bette paints her face in old-school melodrama makeup and presents herself to her director and Joan; the spotlights on set seem to follow her on instinct. Sarandon is the breakout magnet here, but Lange’s Joan Crawford has a very clear fragility to her, a vulnerability that ultimately just wants the respect of the only people that really matter to her: other women. When Bette and Joan speak toward the end of the episode in Joan’s dressing room, Bette admits to respecting Joan’s work, and Joan very nearly begins to cry. Bette responds to that by mocking Joan’s appearance as she prepares for the role, and her intended look for it. Susan Sarandon arrives at the premiere for Feud: Bette and Joan [Image by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images] The other cast members also pull their weight quite well, and Judy Davis as Hedda Hopper particularly steals every scene she’s in. The gossip columnist evokes every stereotype of ‘pushy celebrity journalist’ you can think of, and it’s wonderful. Another aspect to the show that really raises the bar is the film’s decisions regarding color grading. Scenes outside particularly look almost as though they’re done in Technicolor, and we see black-and-white dailies of our two leading ladies as if they were shooting the original film. This all makes sense, given that, according to TV Guide’s review, Ryan Murphy had a “personal history” with Bette Davis when he was a child. Of course, that review goes on to say, Murphy would be exactly the right person to tell this story with gravitas, dignity and grace, allowing the story to shine without growing overtly campy, despite Joan Crawford and Bette Davis being larger-than-life figures. Overall, the show opens beautifully, and I for one will be tuning in next Sunday at 10 p.m. to see what happens next. Feud airs on FX, and you can download their app to catch up. In 2010, he paired up with his brother-in-law Joaquin Phoenix to make a mockumentary film, I’m Still Here which portrays Joaquin’s music career. [Image by Christopher Polk/Getty Images] While filming, the film’s cinematographer Magdalena Gorka claimed that she awoke one night to see Casey heavily intoxicated and sleeping beside her wearing only his underwear and shirt; the actor “had his arm around her and was caressing her back, and his face was inches of hers and his breath reeked of alcohol.” Although Gorka was in her pajamas, she was “shocked and repulsed because she didn’t know where he had touched her while she was sleeping.” As the only woman in the production department, Gorka said that she suffered “a nearly daily barrage of sexual comments, innuendos and unwelcome advances by crew members, within the presence and with the active encouragement of Affleck.” Magdalena sued the actor $2.5 million for his lewd antics. This wasn’t the only time Casey Affleck is entangled in a sexual harassment scandal as the film’s producer Amanda White allegedly sued him for $2 million due to damages for “uninvited and unwelcome sexual advances.” White claimed that Casey spoke “inappropriately” about her advancing age and fertility, discussed his “sexual exploits”, and referred to women as “cows.” During filming, he even attempted to “manipulate” her into staying in a hotel room with him and “violently” grabbed her when she refused. Both lawsuits were settled out of court with Casey reportedly paying a hefty sum for his alleged dark and sexual actions. His camp called out the claims as extortion attempts and “total fiction.” [Image by Frazer Harrison/Getty Images] Discussing the harassment scandal After his Oscar success, he was interviewed by the Boston Globe and made a shocking decision to address the harassment scandal even though it was prohibited to discuss the matter publicly as part of the settlement. 'The Walking Dead' Spoilers Season 7 Episode 13: 'Bury Me Here' [Video]

The Walking Dead Season 7 is about to get a whole lot more interesting in Episode 13, titled “Bury Me Here.” With all the new events that have taken place on TWD in the past three episodes, fans have been waiting for a moment like this where they could sink their teeth into the first real battle of the season with the Saviors. If Rick and the core group thought that numbers would be a problem moving forward, he might not have to wait too much longer for that solution. In Episode 13 of The Walking Dead, “Bury Me Here,” The Kingdom finds themselves in yet another bitter exchange with the Saviors and it looks like this time it will go different for the ominous oppressors that always seem to walk away with the upper hand, according to TV Guide. Fans of The Walking Dead can rest assured that the wait for some major action is just about over. The thrills and excitement of the war are about to begin, just not with Rick and the core TWD group. Before we get too far into what’s coming next on The Walking Dead in Episode 13, let’s just slow down for a moment and take a look at where we have been so far. This is the part of the article where we need to warn you that there are some spoilers coming up if you have not seen Episode 12 of The Walking Dead. If you have not seen that episode yet, or if you don’t want Episode 13 spoiled for you, then you should only proceed with that caution in mind. Can’t wait for tonight’s episode of #TheWalkingDead? Um, same. SO…watch the clip to pump you up: https://t.co/25oA8ICBIV pic.twitter.com/bY7fzz0onw — The Walking Dead (@TheWalkingDead) March 5, 2017 After that whole episode with Eugene, fans of The Walking Dead got to see an episode that was almost entirely devoted to Rick and Michonne, with a few side storylines going of course. As many TWD fans already knew, Rick and Michonne have been on the hunt for both weapons and food since that last confrontation with the Scavengers that left them with an alliance and a promise to fight side by side. Episode 12 of The Walking Dead started with a series of montages showing Rick and Michonne out on the hunt for their supplies. In the scenes, they were finding stuff and splitting the down time with love scenes in the fans. I doubt we have to elaborate more on that. They eventually found what appeared to be a traveling amusement park set up with several walkers wandering around the area, several of them in military uniforms on The Walking Dead. They had both guessed that something really bad had went down there, but they almost immediately found that it was the place to find all of the guns they were looking for. After falling through the roof on The Walking Dead, they also found out that the place was stocked full of food and MRE’s, which are what military personnel call “Meals Ready to Eat.” They both took their time with a nice meal before they carried out their assault on the playground, which nearly ended in Rick’s demise once he got himself into a sticky situation. They rounded up everything they could muster and took their loot back to the Scavengers, which things also got slightly tense on that episode of The Walking Dead. In the end, they had an agreement, but it was still shaky at best. Watch These Bill Murray Movies On Netflix

If you’re looking for the best movies on Netflix you can never go wrong with a Bill Murray flick. The actor has made dozens of films with a career spanning nearly 40 years, and a handful of those movies are currently streaming on Netflix. Every generation has a handful of actors that standout from the pack; Bill Murray is one of those actors. The talented actor has transcended the big screen by becoming a pop culture icon and national treasure. Murray was initially known for being a cast member of NBC’s Saturday Night Live from 1977-1980. His first major movie was Meatballs in 1979, followed by a slew of early ’80s movies that would end up becoming classics, including Where the Buffalo Roam, Ghostbusters, and Caddyshack. Co-starring Chevy Chase, Ted Knight, and Rodney Dangerfield, Caddyshack remains one of the funniest movies from the ’80s and it is currently streaming on Netflix. [Image by Warner Bros.] Murray dominated the Decade of Excess and capped-it-off with Scrooged. This modern take on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol has become a holiday staple. Murray as a Scrooge-like character is almost guaranteed to make Netflix subscribers laugh out loud. With movies like Groundhog Day, Kingpin, and Ed Wood, the ’90s brought more success for the actor and more joy for moviegoers; among those movies is the classic comedy, What About Bob? Richard Dreyfuss co-stars as the therapist to Murray’s oddball character, and the duo’s back-and-forth chemistry is hilarious. This was considered one of the funniest movies from 1991 and it is currently streaming on Netflix. As the new millennium struck Bill Murray was more popular than ever. The actor’s only Oscar nomination came from the 2003 film Lost in Translation, and many feel he should have won that prize which Sean Penn took home for his role in Mystic River. The new decade would also find Murray starring in a slew of Wes Anderson films including The Royal Tenenbaums, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Rushmore, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, and Moonrise Kingdom. [Image by Focus Features] Critics and audiences alike raved for Moonrise Kingdom. RogerEbert.com gave the film 3.5 Stars (out of four) and describes why it’s one of the best movies on Netflix. “Wes Anderson’s mind must be an exciting place for a story idea to be born. It immediately becomes more than a series of events and is transformed into a world with its own rules, in which everything is driven by emotions and desires as convincing as they are magical. ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ creates such a world and takes place on an island that might as well be ruled by Prospero. It’s set in 1965, though it might as well be set at any time. Because this is a Wes Anderson film, you know Bill Murray will appear in it. He has worked in the last five of Anderson’s six films. In ‘Moonrise Kingdom,’ he plays Walt Bishop, Suzy’s father, and Frances McDormand is her mother. Murray is always right for a role in an Anderson film, and I wonder if it’s because they share a bemused sadness.” Over the past several years Bill Murray has continued to star in some great movies: he gave a priceless cameo appearance in the reboot of Ghostbusters, he stole the show in Zombieland, and he stole our hearts in the comedy-drama St. Vincent. Melissa McCarthy, Jaeden Lieberher, and Naomi Watts co-star alongside Murray in St. Vincent, and the foursome have amazing chemistry together. And once again Bill shows us that he can do drama just as well as he can do comedy. Top 5 Upcoming Smartphones For 2017 That Photographers Would Love

Smartphone photography has gone a long way since the first camera phone debuted back in 2000. Today, with insane imaging capabilities being equipped in everyday devices such as smartphones, the world of mobile photography has become a lot bigger. This year is set to play host to a number of notable devices that would, at least according to rumors, play a significant role in pushing mobile photography forward. Here then, is a list of the top five smartphones for 2017 that photography aficionados should watch out for. Take note, however, that this list is arranged in no particular order. Apple iPhone 8 This is pretty much a no-brainer. After the dominating performance of the dual-sensors found in the iPhone 7 Plus, speculations are high that Apple’s 10th-anniversary handset, the iPhone 8, would feature even more powerful imaging capabilities. Rumors about the specs of the iPhone 8’s cameras are pretty scarce, though a MacRumors report stated that notable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is expecting a dual-camera system with OIS to be featured in the tech giant’s upcoming flagship device. While it remains to be seen if the iPhone 8 would be a powerful handset in terms of raw specs, its imaging capabilities would most likely be formidable. A single-lens sensor is rumored for the device, with speculations stating that the Galaxy S8 would feature a premium 12MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and larger pixels, according to a TechRadar report. The Galaxy S series has always featured high-quality sensors, and though their megapixel counts are lower than most flagships, the quality of photos taken with devices such as the Galaxy S7 have been no less than stellar. This, of course, is expected to continue with the Galaxy S8. #Xperia XZ Premium has officially been crowned ‘Best New Smartphone at MWC 2017′ #SonyMWC https://t.co/e5aYEW7XCI pic.twitter.com/jj9kNuPFdP — Sony Xperia (@sonyxperia) March 2, 2017 Sony Xperia XZ Premium Sony smartphones have always boasted powerful cameras, and the Xperia XZ Premium is no exception. Together with the device’s stunning 5.5-inch 4K display, the smartphone’s 19-megapixel main sensor with 19 percent larger pixels is among the best in the market, enabling the device to capture excellent photographs even in low-light environments. Couple this with the Xperia XZ Premium’s capability to shoot slow-motion videos at an unprecedented 960fps, and Sony’s upcoming flagship gets even more attractive in the imaging department. For this year’s flagship, the upcoming LG V30, the South Korean tech giant is expected to step up its game with the device’s imaging capabilities. Far outgunning every smartphone on this list, the LG V30 is rumored to pack a never-before-seen four-camera system, enabling users to capture excellent selfies. Considering the raw power in the LG V30’s cameras, the upcoming phablet might very well be one of the best smartphones in the imaging category this year. While the flagship devices did not employ fancy tricks such as a dual-camera system, the Pixel and the Pixel XL shone in the imaging department through the sheer quality of its sensors alone. With the Pixel 2, Google is expected to turn things up a notch, with rumors stating that the upcoming flagship would feature an even better sensor than its predecessor. Considering that the current Pixel is already the best in its class, the Pixel 2’s cameras would most likely be nothing short of a monster. The world of mobile photography is set to move forward this year, with the introduction of smartphones such as the iPhone 8 and the Galaxy S8. With contenders such as the Xperia XZ Premium, LG V30 and the Google Pixel 2 coming soon, however, the mobile market would most likely be saturated with a number of devices that might have what it takes to change the smartphone photography game forever.
